Submit a Proposal

Community Action for Veterans (CAV) is now accepting proposals for 75-minute breakout sessions at CAVCON 2026.

This conference brings together professionals across healthcare, social services, education, and community-based organizations who serve veterans, service members, military families, and caregivers.

We are seeking practical, engaging, and evidence-informed presentations that:

• Advance understanding of post traumatic growth

• Address both visible and invisible disabilities

• Strengthen systems of support for military connected individuals and families

Learning Tracks

Proposals must align with the conference theme and at least one of the following tracks:

Mental Health
Support for emotional wellbeing, resilience, and post traumatic growth

Rural Challenges
Improving access to care and services in rural communities

Caregiving and Military Family Life
Supporting families, caregivers, and the broader impact of military service

What to Include

Each proposal should include:

• Presentation title

• Selected learning track

• Presenter name, title, organization, and contact information

• Session abstract

• Learning objectives

• Session format

• Target audience

• Brief presenter biography

 

Why Present at CAVCON

Presenters will:

• Gain statewide visibility

• Share real-world strategies with cross-sector professionals

• Earn continuing education units (CEUs)

• Strengthen their professional portfolio

Participants will:

• Earn CEUs

• Build practical knowledge across key focus areas

June 12, 2026 – Proposal deadline
Late June 2026 – Review process
Early July 2026 – Notification of selection
Late August 2026 – Materials due
September 14–15, 2026 – Conference
