OUTREACH SERVICES

Compass Corps members at the University of South Dakota in Sioux Falls provide outreach services to student veterans. The goal is to connect them with resources, build peer support, and promote overall well-being.

PEER MENTORSHIP

A Compass Corps member at the University of South Dakota in Vermillion works with Lost&Found to provide outreach services to students on campus. The goal of this site placement is to support student veterans through peer mentorship that builds connection, reduces isolation, and helps them adjust to college life.

COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT

Compass Corps members connect with service providers and local organizations to build strong support networks for military-connected people. This photo was taken in Vermillion, SD, and includes two student veterans, the Compass Corps Program Coordinator, the USD Student Veteran Resource Coordinator, and the local Starbucks manager.

PROGRAM EVALUATION

Compass Corps tracks member activities and outcomes to measure impact and improve service. Members submit weekly reports, participate in performance reviews, and share feedback through structured check-ins. This process helps ensure the program stays aligned with the needs of veterans, students, and community partners.
